A 6 horse 60 gallon compressor should be plenty by itself, my big compressor is only about a 5 horse 35 gallon and I run the DA on it. Do you have the speed on the DA turned all the way up, or do you adjust it down?

All of the Da sanders I have ever used have had a little knob on them to turn down the speed on them . If it is set to run at full speed it will go  through paper really fast and be harder to control . I usually have mine around half speed when I am sanding with it .

Coming along slowly! Yes the wheels make it nice.. I had some carts that we had once upon a time used for our jet ski's.. just screwed 2 by 8's to the stringers and cross brased them.. one roller up front and one right infront of the jet. Supports it easly!

He means drilling the holes out in the intake where the loader mounts, so the loader can be through-bolted.

Your boat is coming along nicely, you have been making some good progress!

One thing to understand with Epoxy is shelf life is only 6 months so you wont be able to just keep any on hand for quick repairs and you wont be able to go back to poly so if you need any quick repairs done then it will have to wait until you can order some fresh epoxy.

I was just looking at the cans of West System resin and hardener that I have.  They say "With proper storage should remain usable for many years."  The hardener says it may darken but color does not affect physical properties.  The resin says it may crystallize if frozen and thawed several times but just warm it and stir it.  6 months ≠ many years.  Sorry to beat a dead horse but I found a bat and it reminded me of this.

Matt I was getting worried about my Epoxy resin too since I have had it a whole year  and still havent used it.  I went back to look up the Shelf life and it also says pretty much indefinitely.  Same basic characteristics as the West Systems and I got mine from AeroMarineProducts.com.  Saves me from having to tell the wife I wasted $300 of money on epoxy resin.  Now good Polyster I have heard has a shelf life that's why the stuff in the department stores is not as good it has additives to extend the shelf life.  I have had it inside so I doubt it has gotten below 50 degrees which is the point at which mine Crystalizes and if it has its warm enough I will just set it out in the sun a few days next week.

Not sure how some have done it on here but.  Cut out some plugs the same size as the holes and glass them in and SAND SAND SAND SAND SAND some more...    Or just use the plug covers and carry on so you can start on the TX.
