You probably already know this but you may have to install it upside down to get the steering to move in the right direction.

I can't imagine anything like that ever happening! ROFL!

LOL.  Your not the only one.  Remember when Kirby showed up at the lake with his backwards?  He said it was hell to drive that way.  I think Chad had his backwards when he firt replaced it as well.  He fixed it before he hit the lake though.

Here is mine.  I removed the center button from the wheel to get a pic of the bolt.  You are correct in that you have to remove that long bolt to replace the wheel.  The pics should help you get it installed so the steering moves in the correct direction the first time out.  You can't really see it in the pic but the cable exits out the port side of the rack.

Yep , that's exactly what I have  clap.gif Thanks for the pics , it will help alot to know which direction to mount the rack the first time out instead of trial and error .  :smile17:

I decided to go ahead and give these headers a try , upside down with OT pipes modified to fit them . Hopefully not long after I get the boat finished and in the water I will be upgrading to twin turbos , and these should be really easy to upgrade .

Are you going to weld in water injection bungs to them? Oh, guess not if you go turbo. I think those will get real hot!

Correct, turbos with no water.  I expect the headers to get hot,  I may have to make some heat shields like Haas did on his Turbo setup.  But I am not planning alot of boost, so we will see how hot it gets.

I got the headers in , and went ahead and put one of them on the motor to see how it would look . Looks like the coil packs are going to have to be relocated to the side of the block , but other than that they look good to me .

Looks like relocating them might be fairly simple with a few minor mods.  Hardest part will be the wiring harness extension.

I am using a MSD setup that already has provisions for relocating the coil packs , so all I really need to do is move them down to the sides of the block and make some kind of a mount that will bolt to the block where the motor mounts used to be .

I paid a few extra bucks to have the guy that modded my harness extend the coils wires knowing they would most likely have to be moved. Money well spent to have it done right.

You better get crackin on this thing man. Lake weather is near! I just welded tabs onto my existing coil brackets and called it done.

Yeah , I am hoping to get it going pretty soon . I took on a house remodel that is taking all of my extra time these days , but it is getting to the end of the project now . The good news is that the remodel job is paying to do a few extra things to the boat . I am also going to go ahead and turbo the motor now instead of later , so that does add a little more work before it will be ready to hit the water .

I skipped out on mowing the grass for long enough to go meet Henry down at the river to get gauges for the boat.  Thanks Henry! Mattie got to do a little fishing and I was still home in time to mow about half of the yard, guess I will do the rest tomorrow.
