It's been awhile since I posted a progress report on the Liberator, but it's been awhile since I had time to work on Her. Most of my time has been repairing fences. The drought has killed our pastures and the horses are starting to push the fence to look for greener pastures. Anyway, these projects are about to come to a close and I actually got a few days to spend on the Liberator.
With the fatherly advise of Blenderman I have repaired the inside of the tunnel and replaced the bulkhead with thicker material and a vast amount of fiberglass. This should fix the manufactures flaw on some of the older Liberators. Sorry no Pic it's dark in there, and I can tell what the are and I took them.
Anyway, the Boat is back on the trailer, and Patch has his Dolly back at the compound. Today I had to make an adjustment on my trailer bunks, they were a little snug against the inside of the tunnels. I replaced the Lag bolts, and filled in all the old holes that have been drilled in the inside of the bottom for any number of reasons.(mounting seats, battery's, what have you).
I then paid a little attention to Plan B (Glastron). I finished replacing the carpet on the trailer steps, replaced the valve cover gasket (hopefully that will stop the oil leak) and tried to change the oil. I picked up the larger Oil filter and it wont fit between the motor and the stringer. I'll pick up the right one tomorrow.
