You can still put it on the front of the crank, just put it with the collar facing out.

Thx.  I decided to let Loden assemble the short block.  I like doing it myself but I'm kinda over it at this point.  I think my time will be better spend installing seats in the cruiser.

Just dropped the rear main seal off at Loden's.  Block is vatted, maged, line honed, bored and decked. Crank is vatted, maged, measured and will polish out std/std.  Pistons and rods are cleaned, checked for balance and big end honed.  One was separated from the rod just to check rod balance and to put it in Loden's words "Someone did a nice job on the balancing".

As the monkey said when he caught his tail in the lawn mower.  It won't be long now.

Yeah, but my boat's going to look awesome, drive like a dream, and be able to dish out a serious load of big block Ford whoop-a$$ when needed.

Not that any other boat out there looks bad, but I'm doing an off-trailer full resto... Then gonna pull a Ken and not touch it for 30 years.
