Question??
I have 3 different kinds of fiberglass woven roving which I planned on puttin over the floor, 1.5 oz mat, and cloth.
Here is my thought for glassing in stringers, 3 layers of mat starting at like 1 in down the sides of stringers then progressing to 2 in, then to 3. The problem is I don't see how the 1.5 Mat will go up and over stringers? Originally I planned on up and over however playing around w some tonight I don't see it happening. I suppose I could do several layers of cloth to go up and over, but that doesn't seem thick enough. What about going to a 6oz cloth for wrapping ?
HELP please..

I just ordered some fumed silica and some 1/4 in fiberglass chop I plan on making peanut butter for all my joints, for a smooth transition for my fiberglass. My question is I have a gallon of polyester resin I would love to use can I make my peanut butter w poly resin and then cover w epoxy when I lay my glass mat?

The poly will be fine for the PB, and the epoxy will go over the top of it nicely.  If you are using Epoxy there is not need to use the mat as the epoxy doesn't have the styrene to break down the fibers in the mat and it will just soak up a bunch of resin.  Just use the cloth or roving.  For the tops of the stringers with the epoxy you just need a light covering nothing heavy.

My concern is using poly for peanut butter and it letting go from stringer or joints someday

Unless its bad and doesn't setup it won't be an issue.  What doesn't work is putting poly over epoxy because the poly just won't adhere to it well at all.  Putting epoxy over poly well epoxy adheres to almost everything.  Epoxy is also a little more forgiving if you don't get it quite right but takes longer to setup.  Poly sets up quick so if you don't have everything ready to go and it sets up its wasted.

That's good news I have a whole gallon of poly I didn't think I would get to use

I am hoping u guys chime in on this one I am kind of at a cross roads here. My last boat I added a center support under the floor; including a middle stringer and side supports them caped it off w the floor see the pic. I am wanting to do the same thing to the SS as I plan on big horsepower. Is this over kill? Am I asking for trouble? Should I just go back with foam and out the floor in? Foam is going back in no matter what so let's not let that be the topic of conversation.

Is this the boat you're building now? Or do you want to make your current boat like the one you've pictured??

If you're able to do so, I'd put a center stringer in.

I am with Cliff on this, The extra stringers won't hurt anything but will add some extra weight.  If you can do it then go for it extra strength is always good.
