The mechanic did at the pond they have to run in the boats they build.  No leaks, all gauges work, no milky oil, just gets hot at an idle.  Worked fine (ran cool) all during the cam breakin, but when he was finally able to let it idle, it started running hot (from 180 to 210)

Fix it!  hurry.gif

Started right out of the bag!  One small leak and a bilge pump went south, but overall a perfect day at the lake.

I must thank a bunch of people that have helped in making this project a reality.  Don Van for rewiring the boat, Scott Herzog for the machine work, Steve Moreland and son for the trailer overhaul, Steve Patch for techinical support, and last but not least Mike Beisert for taking the time and effort to see the project through to the end.  Mike is my neighbor (Mr Rogers) and loves working on jet boats.  He does it all, glass, paint, interior, wiring, plumbing, pumps, the works.  He had so much to redo on my boat it was ridiculous. If you have a project you need a hand on, call or PM mike, he is very talented and will not break the bank getting you back on the water.

Thanks to all, it's been 2 years and 4 motors, but I have a dependable lake scooter now and will be attending more events.
And a special thanks to my wife, Cindy, with out her moral support I would have junked this project a year ago.

PS we looked for Tim at Pecan, but must have missed you.

Thanks everyone! jump.gif

Yes Mike is the man, it's good to know there is someone in the area that can provide a professional service, instead of driving to Houston, Austin, or San Antonio!

We left at 3:00, Mike had to be at a Birthday party.  Sorry we missed you, Tim.  Your boat is looking good as usual.  I mean really a beautiful piece of work.  Glad to see you back on the water.
