Where can I get the oil drain system for my Fords?  I want the Oil pan plug with the hose attached, so I can run the hose out the drain hole in the back  of the boat to make oil changes much less messy.

Kona's comment made me think.  I bet you could go to a hose assembler and get something put together.  We have HoseFast here local along with several other hose assemblers in the area.  I bet there is one close to you as well.  Might be worth a google search.

that's way mine is,  it's drilled and tapped with a 90* pipe fitting with a 1/4 turn valve and a hose barb and i just slip my hose on the barb and out the drain plug in the boat

I have something similar on my Pontiac.  It is a valve made by Fumoto that replaces the drain plug.  I bet on Jim's Liberator it is too tight to attach a hose when you want to change the oil.

I think I found one, I will just have to confirm the threads are right.  I'll call them Monday
Lemme know what you find out, I need to do the same thing.  think.gif

i got one from summit, made by fram has a fitting that screws into the oil pan and a cap, then to drain it has a hose with a nipple on the inside as you screw it on it pushes a release on the fitting in the oil pan and releases the oil best to do with enfine oil up on temp, but will work either way. i usually just jack the front of the boat up and let it drain.

I got mine from ARS Marine.  $31.00 plus shipping.  I got 2, one for the liberator and one for the Glastron.

More bad news for the Liberator today.  Called the machine shop to check on the heads to see if they would be ready when I got home.  Long story short, NO!  Guess I'll be at RTC in Plan B.

This motor will be a stock 460 Ford.  I bought a new short block and was having the heads milled and fresh valves installed so I could break it in, tune it up and check for leaks.  The Liberator is a much easier vessel to work on an engine, than the Glastron.  This winter I was going to replace the tired 460 in the Glastron and finish the stroker motor for the Liberator.  I am almost there money wise with the Chevy parts I have been selling.  :smile30:
