Pump rebuild party

Is there any specific area that should be focused on for the way people like James, Chad, Cliff and I use our boats?

Cliff is the only one here that uses his boat like me... For beating up on GM's. .LOL

Just kidding. Add Brent to the list also. I have him on video pulling a tube.

Lol....ya, I have a lot of other people who have other ideas for use of the jet boat....like tubing, skiing etc. My idea is this....

1. Tow jet boat to ramp
2. Launch jet boat
3. Haul a$$ to Pebble beach
4. Shoot roost
5. Anchor
6. Get beer and drink
7. Chill with the boys talking smack about our boats. lol.

Like I said...others have other ideas for it.

Ya, I forgot about that. He said it was good to go. I'll come by to watch the tear down of Jame's and Chad's so when it's time for me to do it, it won't be foriegn to me.

I simply removed the bowl and replaced the gasket. I have no idea what shape the bearing is in. Impeller looked great. I have a sport loader that'd work good for ya too. Replacing the thrust bearing is cheap insurance, imo. ya'll come down here, and we'll have that party... :smile30:

Does the loader help a lot? I was thinking of getting one, but I have to get to oddball one for the JE pump.

The longest part to the pump rebuild is waiting for the wear ring to contract in the freezer. I have the impeller nut  socket & puller if anyone needs to borrow it ?.

I'll take you up on that too Mike, and if anyone's going to do the pump in my shop, you can bring the wear ring a day or two ahead and get it chillin... Or can utilize that wait time for beer consumption and brats.

Only takes 30 minutes for the ring to shrink....that's about a sixer.

I have lots of freon in my shop.. It will freeze instantly..

I was going find out when you ordered your rebuild kit, then just wait on your front proch while you're at work.. LOL

Just kidding, I have no idea where I'm getting mine from. I'm thinking I will go with American Turbine. They say the AT impellers are like stepping up one size bigger.

It sounds like several of you are going to order the kit with the impeller, which you may not need. I guess that may come in handy to have some extra used impellers laying around for testing purposes.

I am getting an impeller for sure. It looks cracked and Ken thinks so to.
