Yeah, remember I had my E-bay specials sent out and all the pin holes around the water injector lines welded up and had them crenamic coated, I'm probably the only person on the board that can start off with a $400.00 set of used headers and end up with $1200.00 in them.  A new set is what $998.00.  If you havent figured it out yet, I not the sharpest tool in the shed.

It's been awhile since I added anything to this thread, but I have not stopped work on the Liberator. As I mentioned earlier I have repaired the cracks in the sponsons, forward of the bulkhead.  The new bulkhead went in last month, and I carpeted it yesterday.  It's too dark to get a picture.  Today I will either pick up my motor or I will add bracing to support the deck. There are three areas that need help.  This will stop alot of the stress cracks along the top side of the deck.  I'm surprised the Liberator folks, didn't put these in when they originally built the hull.  Two of the supports will go just forward of the fuel tanks on each side of the boat, and the third will be installed on the rear deck.

Just as a side note (and a teaser) I have located what could be my next project hull and found a block to complete the roller Chevrolet.  But that is a different thread. :smile30:

Do you have pics of the future project? Is it the one I think it is? I would like to see some pics.

Now back to the Liberator project!  Had a good day today, inspite of a late start.  As I said I carpeted the new bulkhead, Pic #1,  then worked my way backward riggin for the motor.(hint, hint)  first the foot feet (hot shoe), then the diverter control, seat brace, seats, (here is where the progress slowed a bit. The previous asshole that had this boat had the forward and reverse cable in a real bind, it took some southern enganeerin to fix it, but it's smooth as a baby's behind now.And last but not least the battery mounted.

Looking good.  Guess you are not going to do paint on it before you put it back together? You could bring it to my shop and let me wood grain it for you  think.gif

That air cleaner is a family heirloom and is only on the motor to keep out trash.  I have purchased a scoop from Drumzilla that will accent the boat nicely.
