Project Liberator

well don't feel to bad. many many years ago I built ( had a boat shop ) a big monster ford. lot's of cubic inch's and that's lot's of green dollars. boat sounded great. would make everyone stare at ramps  :smile28: :smile30:  took it out for the first water test and was towed back to the ramp. the machine shop and or boat shop didn't install cam plug and  she blew oil all over !  :smile26: then while motor back in the machine shop the boat shop burnt down ... lost heads, intake,NOS,carbs, headers, pistons, oil pan and more. then found out boat shop had no insurance. :smile19: was not fun at all. so now day's I'm happy with my SBC baby motor running AV fuel .  think.gif oh on a side note ! the south wind tunnel dragster is still sitting on the bottom of the lake  :smile20:

For an update, it looks like I'm back to square one on a motor.  I got a block, which is vatted and has been checked for cracks, ready to go into the jig for alignment and round holes.  Dropped off my SCJ heads and they are CRACKED.  I will pick up the block Tuesday and concentrate on Body work, maybe my luck will change.  Meanwhile I'll be selling Chevy parts to pay for the Ford motor build.  Right now I don't even want to think about Jet Boat Motors.

Now here is the start of the "body" work on the hull.  The bow eye has wallowed out a hole about an inch all around and will be my first project.  Good news is I can reach it from the inside of the boat.  Thought I may have to cut a hole in the deck and repair it from topside.

I broke the eye in Lousianna on the Baker, good think I had my Airman with me and a Bass Pro shop near by.  I am claustrophobic big time, and Austin drove right up into the bow of the boat and installed it.  That is why he is one of our brave young men defending our country.

If Austin isn't busy I could use him for a little project.  Damn it's hot out side, I can't get much done because of the heat.  Am I the only one?
