Great news Matt. Are you bringing her to bat Pebble beach this Sunday 9/26  to run her a bit?? We plan on being out there around noon.

Took the boat down to an annual gathering at Plowmans Creek yesterday.  There were no mechanical issues. Time to move on to the interior.

I am going to keep the layout pretty true to original with some minor changes to the jump seats.  I found pics of a rear seat layout I like in an updated Carlson CV-23.  My plan is to cover the seats in diamond stitched vinyl to match the existing cabin interior as close as possible.  Then lay the seats out the same as original but change the rear seat layout to resemble the pic of the CV-23.  Anyone see any issues with this?

This is the original layout.

I like the way the rear seats are in this CV-23

what color? You gonna do all burgundy to match or two tone like the brochure? Maybe burgundy piping to wake it up?

Didn't think that far ahead yet.  I guess we'll make that decision when we pick the permanent carpet for it.  It will partially depend on the availability of vinyl too.

Matt- We may have a sample close to it at the shop. There are several other sources for the vinyl though. I will put the feelers out and see if anyone may have a roll of NOS if you like.

What do you think NOS vinyl would cost?  If it's like car parts it will be more expensive than I want to pay.

Sometimes they are actually anxious to get it off their shelves if they have it. You may end up with a little more than you need but that is a good thing. Kinda like how I ended up with all that marine carpet last year. I sold more of it than I kept and still have enough to do a couple boats.

Enough to do the entire interior up top in the cruiser.  We decided to put it back pretty close to original.  Dawn really likes the vintage feel of the boat.  Only thing I am planning to change is to make the passenger side seat a mirror image of the drivers with a forward facing bucket instead of it being like a chaise lounge.  Probably gonna do a color that matches the existing interior that is in the cabin.

Man I was wondering about this the other day. Hadn't heard anything about it, was thinking it was on the back burner or something...

I got a little distracted with the Rebel paint, headers and rub rail.  I still plan to get it done this winter.  I bought a table saw and a couple pieces of ply to start building the seat frames.  Now that Chad has shown his mad sewing skillz I need to get the frames built.  :smile17:
