Thanks guys.  It's getting there.  I'm running out of small items that require sweat equity.  It won't be long and all that will be left is the bigger items that I have to pay someone else to do.  :smile13:

Me too. It's a shame this boat was left out in the elements like is was. Had it been kept under a cover the upper deck seating may have been salvageable as well. On the other hand if it had been better cared for the price would have been higher and I may not have bought it.  The hour meter appears to work. It shows 363.2 now. I think that is about an hour more than it showed when I brought it home. The way the cabin cleaned up I think that may be accurate.

Ordered new gauges today. They should be here Friday.  I went with the Hardin Marine Stainless.

Those are some nice lookin gauges.. Those would have been on my list when I was replacing mine, but I didn't see where they offered a 6 gauge set so I passed on 'em...

Will do.  I wanted to put them in my Rebel but no one had them in stock back then.

What is the 6th gauge?  MPH?  They offer a pitot speedometer separately but no GPS.

Yeah, a speedometer.... I'm running a pitot, the old one was -1 mph compared to a handheld GPS, & that is close enough for me. Main thing was filling that hole in the dash. To be honest, I never checked if they had one available seperately. But I wanted to match the factory gauge as close as possible so I was really looking for gauges with a black face & chrome bezel anyway...

Sorry for the bad after pictures.  I was working under a tree and the shade was a problem.  I will get some better after pics at the lake today.  I had to cut down the hold down for all the gauges.  No bid deal.  They are aluminum and cut easily with a hack saw.  I also had to enlarge the hole for the tach slightly.  I used a cheap little drum sander from Harbor Freight that fits in a drill.

(EDIT:  Something is up at Photobucket.  Hopefully the pics appear soon.)
