Duane if you can find one of these someone wants to trade for i think you would be ALOT happier!
They are very forgiving and will do damn near any stunt you can think of and Can be a handful at times depending on your skill.  It can be set up very hot or mild and will come in like a trainer or a brick depending on how you want to fly it.

Worst case scenario, the plane totally sux.... in which case you load it up with fuel & we use it as a target for some skeet shooting...

that sounds like fun,    Duane would certainly learn some new moves  crazy.gif

I feel like it's gonna be a replay of the cars...started with a pos, wasn't happy until I owned a $500 kit chassis with a $350 motor. Total investment: $350 bargain hunting....

Anyone want to meet in Stafford for lunch @ Razzoos Saturday?

Ol Buck is on the money! clap.gif I have flown identical planes, and from your videos you won't care for it. You can always use experience, and maybe the radio gear would be worth the trade. I thought the car was on the high end. The plane is on the lower but not the bottom by any means. The glass is not half empty Kona! I have owned around twelve planes over the years. ( no 3d stuff) So I have an idea of how they are going to fly. Duane wants something more aerobatic and a low wing trainer is not it. Now cut the wing in half and flatten it out, it will be allot different. But I don't think Duane is about modifying them. think.gif

Well, I finally got to look at this thing on a screen bigger than my phone and, I have to agree with the Patchman.  Will it fly different?....Yes.  Will it perform stunts any better?  Maybe.  Split the wing and flatten it out is an option. $.02.  A four star forty from Sig would be a good step up.  Now, I'm not saying don't get the plane, I'm just saying you obviously have some mad skills that could use a challenge.  Go ahead and get this low-wing trainer and try to trade your high wing trainer for something more.

Thanks Patch! Just trying to steer him the right direction.  That plane the Ugly stick i flew for many years and put it up only to drag it back out again and set it up hotter or slower depending on what i wanted! Even played with different wings,,now that was interesting, and before it was sold i took the wing and mounted on the bottom of the plane. then i had a totaly different animal lol had lots of fun with that one for sure.

:smile26: that's funny!!!

Greg: pretty sure I'm not gonna spend much more time with this plane. I have a day left to think on the trade...

Thinking of just buying a new arf and swapping my engine and electronics...The Big stick, or maybe something a lil more agressive, just to do it. If I crash a new one, I'm just out a fuse, right? Most kits I've seen are around 120-150 bucks, If I stay with my .46 engine. think.gif

i see! ARF are not a bad way to go if you dont mind dropping the dough. The stick plane will satisfy your needs for a good while or something similar to it..

So far as taking a big jump in plane skills you already know the trainer you have can be set up very mild to med to wfo ok! Now the stick is pretty much the same way BUT there is a pretty big gap skill wise between your plane and the stick that you have never experianced in real time! So just be careful and dont jump too high on the skill level on your next purchase,,you wont enjoy the outcome.

And the plane in question on the trade deal,,, I have seen the vid's of you flying,,,Dont waste your time on this plane you will kick your own butt for doing it!

I think I've found what I want, slow flying, and lots of control....what do ya'll think?

This is the Radio Controlled, Glow Powered, Almost Ready-to-Fly,
              Great Planes U-Can-Do 3D .46 Aerobatic Airplane.
Slow flight characteristics suitable for first time low wing pilots.
Increase control throws to 3D levels for thrilling aerobatic performance.
                For Intermediate to Advanced Modeler/Fliers.

That is a good choice this one also is easier to control than a full blown!  Yea you want to be able to slow it down to your comfort and still have total control,,,that plane you posted will do this! Gotta remember some of these planes that haul the mail have to be flown that way or they fall from the sky like a rock!

The 'U can do 3D' will fly pretty wild.  Kevin (a friend of mine that flies with me quite a bit) had one for a little while.  It can be a handful but then again, he had the rates set on KILL.  lol.  Nice flying plane for sure.  A super sportster would be a good second plane too.  Even a P51..................  :smile23:
