Hydro's new (to me) plane

Yeah, it was no wind, then a 15mph blast...... :lipsrsealed: it was fun, plane flys awesome!

after the summer's over, I'll re-kit it. :smile17:

I went by, aborted the landing, throttle too high....went around and at the same time, I'm knocking back the throttle trim to bring the idle down, getting the right line up for the strange north wind...came around and said to myself: self, you know damn good and well that power line is there, you had a model rocket hanging on it by it's parachute for 2 years....lol...wtf? crazy.gif    oppps.....powerline!!!! :smile16:

Here's a tip that may keep you out of the high wire. 

Quit flying in circles!!!!!  Keep it out in front of you.  It will really help in situational awareness.  Not to mention that it is safer for the spectators and vehicles.

Exactly.  Stand parallel to the runway and don't let the plane fly behind your shoulders.  That way you'll always know exactly where the runway is in relation to the plane.

Well, thanks, guys...when I pulled the roll, I realized I had the throws set way too small to try anything fancy...It rolled way slower than I expected, lost a lot of altitude..I feel if I had more rudder and aileron travel, I might not have hit the line....**grinning***.....all in all, I had a blast. plane flew great, just need a better place to land/takeoff.....Brent says he'll fix it for me.....just gotta build his jetboat...lol :smile28:
