Cliff I have a source for cloth too if you want it.Crusader said:No kidding Brett!! Lol.
Thanks for the link SPD. The author states to use two layers of Matting followed by a layer of cloth. I like that idea.

I am not using mat because of the strength of Epoxy. I did read the article SPD posted the guy there talks about using epoxy but then doesn't distinguish the difference in mat. Regarding cloth there is no difference in use with poly or epoxy. The reason the difference in the mat is like SPD said that Poly has styrene that breaks the bonds of bonded mat so that the mat can conform to shapes easier and epoxy doesn't have that added and its not a good thing to add styrene to epoxy as it weakens the epoxy bond. Styrene is what makes poly resin eat through styrofoam cups. Hope this clears that up. Your welcome to get the fiberglass cloth from Home Depot I never saw it there. I had bought mine last year from a selller on ebay but looks like he has used up his source. Here is another source on ebay:Crusader said:ChryslerJet said:Cliff I have a source for cloth too if you want it.Crusader said:No kidding Brett!! Lol.

So there is a difference in cloth depending on using Epoxy or poly resins?
Where's your source? I planned on just going to Homey Depot for it.....

They'll all last longer than you'll probably own the boat so just get er dun!! The stringers in both my boats are wrapped. You have an engine cover so you don't need a super pretty set up. Glass it, paint it, get the motor in back in, cover the rest in carpet and get back on the water.
