They're in a different folder.

Click the pic and scroll to the right.

Hey CJ, I know it would suck, but you might have to razor blade a couple of them old decals to make em flat. Carefully nip the raised edges then bury what's left in clear.

I rubbed the edges when I was washing them and broke some edges off.

First loaded float test could be fun. That rail will be under water line with motor in it
what rail?  I am putting a motor 65lbs lighter than what was in it originally so I don't see it as a problem.

It appears that the rub rail will be under water regardless of what motor you install.

oh ok that's what I thought he meant and yeah most I have seen most look like they are going to sink.  I noticed this thing is not really a tunnel hull.  It is mostly flat just the front is tunneled.

Here are the pics, And yes you will see some runs in it.  I have run a paint gun on anything major in about 10 years since I painted the barracuda.  It's going to get wetsanded with 1500 or 2000 and have a couple more coats put on then will sand and buff off the runs.  might do it now just don't want to burn through the couple coats of clear.

One of all the metalflake that come off on my shirt when washing the boat by hand.  Lots more in the water bucket.  And there was still a ton on the boat.

Casale Drive is out and time to pull the rudder, prop, propshaft and steering box.

Many Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and tips on everything.

Just got off the phone with Vince (Rays Dad) in California.  He's a big flat bottom guy, with lots of parts and knowledge.  He told me he was putting together a 1967 Carlson Race boat, just like the one above and CJ's.  He's putting a Hemi in it, since that's what it came with originally.  I'll try to get him to send pictures.  Small World  :smile26:

I think you should put a turbo Volkswagen motor in it. Out of a 67 bug.
Umm for the preservation purposes let me put it this way "NO"

The original motor that was put in this was a 426 Max Wedge with cross ram dual carbs.  I probably wont have the cross ram or dual carbs nor the 426 Max Wedge engine but it will be a Big Block Chrysler and for now it will be my 383 that was in my 68 barracuda before I sold it.  Plans are to build a 500 cubic inch engine in the off season I already told the wife that's what I want for Christmas.  I have all the parts already picked out and sourced.  She will fly pretty good with that motor in it.  I wasn't going to spill the beans on it yet because I know how much ya'll are going to rag on me but who cares.  It's documented if I don't get it then oh well.
