Texasjet's New Adventure

I decided to start a new thread for this trip. Friday afternoon I road with friends up river to a nice beach. After about 2 hrs we went back to the Avi. Dinner was all the king  crab you can eat for 26 bucks. Around  8 everyone was in the parking lot till 3 0r 4 In the morning. I lasted till around midnight.

More tonight after dinner. Trailer down to Jack Smit Park and run that part of river. Topoc, Pirates  Den and the Gorge.

God what a  beautiful day. We did everything I said and also ran to the Sandbar. Put 50 miles on the Baja. Got back to Jack Smith at dark..

Going to Havasu today to get  boat detailed. I'll have more time to post pics then.

Not a lot to do Monday. Drink Bloody Mary's and hang out at the pool.

The two girls in the bottom pic were trying to get used to their suit bottoms. They spent so much time tugging at the back it got comical.

Bloody Mary's on the river bank or a beach sounds better, but I guess you gotta take what you can get  :smile16:

He took it off the trailer and idled over to the beach. Never started it again till he idled over to the trailer at the end of the day. 1400 hp on alcohol and does 140+. No pop off just a ratchet. I didn't know gullwings  could handle that kind of speed.

The headers on that thing were water jacketed from Jack Bassett made specifically for that boat. Turns out Jack sold the Bassett company but still makes custom one off headers.

Made Blythe no problem.  Helping set up for the wedding at noon tomorrow. Service will be on the beach in bathing suits.

Very unusual wedding to say the least. About 60 people. Then we went up river to Jungle Beach. Its  big sandbar. The  back to the wedding site then down  river to a cove called Goose Flats. Then back to the wedding site at the Cove RV Resort. 25 miles on the Baja. Pics to follow.

Well Sunday was a very windy cool day in Blythe. Gusts to 40 all day and evening. Coming back to Phoenix Monday the temp in the desert was 72 and windy again. Going back to Blythe on Saturday for the Memorial Day week end. The river should be busy!
