Working in an engineering office is the physically least demanding job I can think of. I guess that's why I lasted that long.  :smile24:

Made Van Horn 5:30 local time. Ran 70 thru ElPaso.  Almost had a heart attack 10 miles West of Van Horn.  A gust of wind hit the truck so hard and loud I thought I had a  blow out. I pulled off to the side and got out expecting to see a flat tire. Popped the hood to check for a blown hose. Nothing!!! That's when I figured it was  a wind gust. My luck  is holding.

Had to be a heckuva wind gust! Glad thats all it was. Pretty remote area out there isn't it?

Between El Paso and Van Horn there a many little towns and places to get fuel. It's more populated than you would think. Between Van Horn and Fort Stockton there is a lot less population.

I made it home Wednesday around 5 PM. No unscheduled events. 5025 total miles.

The humidity in College Station hit me like a wet towel in the face. Six weeks in the desert can spoil you with 5 to 17% humidity. I could even feel the humidity when I inhaled. Got to get used to it all over again.

I gotcha. Wow, 5k miles...  :smile26: Haha, you ain't lying about the humidity, its been brutal. I prefer dealing with it by being chest deep in the river with an icy cold beverage, but haven't had that opportunity much here lately. :smile16:
