How many layers should I put on the stringers

Few more hrs today, did something a little different to prevent future rot to the middle stringer I cut a small section of it out, filled it w incapaulated foam, drilled out my drain holes, then filled the holes w peanutbutter and glassed it in. Tomorrow will drill holes back out for drainage and I should be water tight.

Have you ever thought about treating that would with CPES or similar product? They claim it will never be able to rot again.  think.gif

It's on a site called Rot Doctor. I used some of it on my fishing boat. It's pretty cool stuff.

How you apply this Peanut Butter ?? Looks like it came out of a caulking gun ??

Thanks! I have found the easiest way is w a tongue depressor, just have to take ur time, it’s great for bedding wood to the hull, also has benefits of lessor angle when wrapping in glass. It eliminates the 90degree angle and ur mat lays down much nicer
