I have contacted the organizers of WN and they have not nailed down a date yet.  It will be in Jan.  I will post something when I hear from them.

That sucked! :smile26:

dont think i am gonna make the tool race may have to be postponed to the first northern event, for one they havent got any water coming out of houston lake, so it is 100 percent saltwater, iknow alot of guys run over there, and i aint trying to piss anyone else off,but i aint gonna run in salt water, and two my steering is totally screwed, cable is smashed and the mount for the outboard steering assy. is cracked on all welds, so i either got to have another built or have the old unit repaired.

I thought you just had that repaired. They didn't do it rite?

i had tha calgo unit repaired and they did a great job, this is everything that hangs off the back of the boat,i pulled it off to have bushings made for it and found out that the rudder assy was totally screwed, i'm surprised and really thankful that it didnt break at tawakoni

what i need now is to find someone who can weld aluminum who can hopefully repair what i have or fab up a new unit.
I've got a couple of friends that weld aluminum. Not really close to you though! think.gif

Go to a local sign shop.  The guys that build those signs can weld very good.  Those signs are thin alum. and are able to withstand hurricane winds.  That is were I go when I need heliarc welding.
