Thanks guys, I knew I wanted something that looked mean n clean.  And I know it ain't the fastest but I dont intend to race it.  As far as the ride/handling - it's a tunnel hull with a light/med layup and dislikes ruff water.  Put a new steering cable in over the winter and now it turns easy.....too damn easy.  It can get away from you in the turns on a river if your not careful.

The trailer axles do look a lil toward the rear but they're right under the heavy part of the load.  It pulls alot better than the single axle trailer that was underneath it and I have the assurance of 4 tires instead of just 2.

They didn't make many of those did they? Seems like I read that on another board, there was a couple that had one & recall that being brought up. Theirs was a wakker boat though, not a jet. Again, damn nice boat!

Also, just noticed how your spare was mounted... Got any details on it, far as how the wheel is attached? Don't believe I've seen one hung from underneath like that and looks pretty trick.

No, I don't think they made very many of them either.  I've tried lookin all over the net for them but haven't had much luck.

The spare tire is mounted under the trailer with a squared u-bolt.  It was mounted like that on the old trailer too.  I'd prefer it on top (it drags the ground at some boat ramps) but there isn't enough room.

Looking forward to seeing it in person at Tawakoni

Diddo, been watching the 777 get rebuilt and can't wait to see it in person.

I'm not so much on the Purdy, looking for quick though. I guess we will see.  Tawakoni will be first time wet since the wreck.  Anyways it will be a fun weekend.  jump.gif

Sweet ride. OK you said you got insurance on it. Where did you get it at :smile21:

Yes sir, you read correctly, I do have insurance on the boat.  Hull & ENGINE.  No insurance on the trailer though because there isn't any type of id number on the trailer and the fact it doesn't have a title.  Granted it can be (and is) registered in the state of TX without a title; "home made".  I looked for a couple weeks and called all over, finally asked the guys on FB Texas hotboats and found some good info.

Amanda Denise Croley
Farmers Insurance Group
Hallsville, TX 75650

She took all the info I had on the boat and whipped up a quick quote.  I even asked her if the exposed engine and ot pipes would be a problem, nope.  So I went through with it, got the papers faxed over and the HP info was wrong.  But it was fixed easy enough.  The actual policy is through one of her underwriters, Foremost.  I even sent them pictures of the boat and engine to reassure everything.

The guy from Ultra Boats posts occasionally on RDP(RiverDavesPlace.com). I believe his name is John West, but don't recall what his username may be. May could hit him up over there if you were looking for info on it. If you are not a member over there & don't want to mess around with signing up, I may be able to get some contact info or something if you wanted.

That sux about the spare, clean install though.
