matt brought me his boat yesterday, told him I'd post a few photo's.
Found the bowl bolts loose, and handmade gasket blown out.

Good morning Duane.

Hate to revive a year old thread however I'm in the process of changing out my Exhaust tips and I've noticed a difference between the tips that were on the Crusader when you worked on it last June and whats on there now. Did you replace the tips when the PO had the boat getting pump work done in your shop?

Here's what was on the boat when you worked on it:

Here's a picture of what's on there now.

Notice the base of the tips where they meet the transom? The first picture shows the base as being bowed out while the current picture shows the bases as fluch (yes, I'm aware of the silicone).

Any insight Duane?

Those other tips are probably running around Dallas on the back of a Kia. Along with his full race jet boat shift knob. :smile28:

Lol....noooo kidding! Or they are on a lowered GMC 1500 lowered truck with tires wide enough to exceed the wheel wells by sbout 4 inches. Lol.

Yes.

Tom, over at JBP, is going to make them with burn proof flappers. Here's the link over at his forum and he posted up a picture f what I'd like for him to make for me.

I know you are changing these but those look like the same tips in both pics to me.  Only difference is the added white silicone and they are a little more oxidized in the recent pic.  If you clean off that silicone and buff those tips they will look just like the first pic.

Are you sure that's what you see?? Lol. I clearly see a larger hump near the base of the tips in the picture above compared to the picture below.

My eyes could be getting old. Lol.
