I know what the next hurdle is going to be.  Dare I say it????  Push Rods.  I hope they are the right length. :smile29:

It's times like this I really miss Super Shops. Erson had a nice true roller for little money back in the day. Not to mention we had them in stock and open on Sunday when I worked there.

Heck Yeah ! was awesome actually having the boat here and checking posts for info!  I get a shop there'll be 56 inch flats all over showing forums with that kind of input all over !

I was wrong.  Next issue is the oil dipstick tube.  The earlier Pontiac blocks have a different tube than the late blocks.  My old block was a 77, the new one is a 67.  Flipping dipstick tube won't work.  Looks like I am going to have to hunt up an early windage tray, dipstick tube and oil pan.

no doubt,  it's nothing like it was back in those days,  we had a local parts place here that i use for everything else,  i could get custom ground cams from then,  now it's like...  WHAT,  YOU WANT WHAT,  GO ONLINE  and you  still can't find it.....  all i can say it's just different times......  :shocked:

I've got 14 seasons on a Erson true roller set bought from super shops.......I think I paid 70 bucks for it back then.....
