Not sure Jim .. I want to tune on it a little and get the plate set first before I think about a gear change .I think it will pull the 32's just fine . It has a lot of power .. I just need to air it out a little to see what she will do .I am hoping to get it to run up around 7000 or 7200 RPM . I was taking baby step yesterday . I had to get rid of my nerves from the driveshaft problem .. You would be proud Jim , I broke out my Lifeline jacket and wore it yesterday .. I had my helmet in the truck but with the problem I had with the throttle cable , I forgot to load the helmet in the boat .. Oh well - At least I did the good jacket ..

Thanks for wearing the Big Boys jacket. I'm glad to hear.
Once you get used to the good jacket, the others will feel like water wings and you will wonder what you were thinking.
You had mentioned in the earlier post the plugs and headers were dark and you thought about leaning it down.
I'm certainly not an expert tuner, but I'd move very cautious doing that.
Unless you make a hard pass and basically cut the engine and check the plugs where you are or get towed back in, you cannot get a valid reading.
When you idle back in, you're running on the idle feed mixture and not the main jets. Almost any idling will wipe out the actual reading you're looking for.
Talk to EO or someone who really knows, but that is my understanding.
Can you download your tach playback or print it?
On the flash, you can get an idea if making it richer or leaner helps.
I'm glad you were able to get some runs in, I'm hoping to get mine in the water soon.
From my experience, each run you make, you'll still be thinking about the noise for a while.
It gets better with time.
