I'll be there, this year I'm going to bring a shovel ! an alternate plan would be for Tim to go out there on Friday and get rid of all the bovine excrement from the sandbar ????

Can anyone give me any information about where it is that y'all are going?  My parents stay in La Grange, and my mom's birthday is on the 17, Maybe I might be able to make it.  I'm all for t-shirts!  :smile13:

Do y'all put in right there by the bridge?  I got on google maps and it looks like there is trailer parking right by the road, and maybe a boat ramp at the bridge.  Is that right?

Or, you could just go straight down 71 from LaGrange.

Why you hatin on Cody's scenic route 'n shit..... lol :smile23:

You also just put in at the LaGrange boat ramp and go downstream.  May want to start on Thursday though.  :smile23:

Just kidding!  Don't do that unless you're in an aluminum boat.  There's a lot of rocks along that 40 or so miles of river!

Yeah, hmm, let me think about that now...NOT!  :smile23: :smile23:

That brings up another question I have about the sandbar bash,  is it v-drive friendly?

Bob took his v-drive there, tore up a prop, propshaft, strut, and the lower shaft of his casale.....not saying that'll happen, but it can.

It's only vdrive friendly for the first mile and half.  After that, you'll need a guide EVERY time you go for a cruise.

No.  There's just a couple spots that you could really tear something up if you're running a prop.  I definately don't want to see anyone break anything because they were not informed.  I've hit just about everything you can hit with an outboard.  No need for someone to learn what I already know.  I sure don't want to see someone repeat what happened to vdrivebob.  I know the exact stump he hit.  I hit it myself several years ago.

So i take it, it is still there,  what is the water level up there,  i haven't been to the river here so i do not even know what ours is,  i do know the raised the dam back up, the weekend before welch,  we watched it rise almost a foot.
