According to lcra.org, we're flowing around 1100 cfs.  Bay City is only flowing 150.  I guess the rice farmers are still irrigating down there.  There's plenty of water.

Watch out for those ''trailer park'' people, they are hell on jet boats !!!!!! Why, I heard they were fireing 12 gauges at the boats last year !! But I've got a 10 gauge, so I'll show up !!!

Is there a decent sized area that is v-drive friendly at the beach ? D-man says there is an area up there that is deep enough for my boat , how big of a portion of the river are we talking ? Can I cruise for a few miles or drive in tight circles without getting into trouble ?

You'll be fine.  Just make sure I get with you before you go off adventuring on your own.

Cool , just kinda wondering after reading about there being so many water hazards up there . Don't want to spend the rest of the year trying to put my boat back together .

Pretty sure everything is cool to run a vdrive there. Just want to consult with Tim (aka. Obi Won Kenobi of the Colorado) if you decided to go take a ride somewhere.

Is there much difference in that area as compared to where we have normally gone for the Sandbar Bash?

looks like i may have to pull out of this event. I thought we had two weekends before plowmans but it is only one full weekend off. I need to get my motor's swaped in the sanger so it looks like after this weekend at Coleto i am out until plowmans. I want to make sure i have time to get it in and ran before then.

Not really.  There's just a lot more rocks just down stream from the boat ramp.  Upstream is all good for a pretty long way.  However, I don't go there as much as James does so, he'll be the Obie Juan Kenobi.  :smile17:
