Ok since no one else will or can I will show ya'll how a jet runs. 1320, 1000, 660 standing start whatever any equivalent v-drive bring it. Now this is a little video of "Livewire" being driven by the Crew Chief not the real driver out at the lake just a little testing about half track pass.

Not bad but I don't think my little ME flat is ready to tackle TE jets yet......

That TE jet has the reins being held pretty tight to keep it in the TE class.  :smile30:

All it is a couple turns of the wrenches. I would like to go Winter Nats with it but we will see.

what did it run that day like 110 on GPS? in under 5 seconds from a dead stop bout 600'. right at half track the boat runs 4.6,4.7'S with a 9.0 tune up to half track at just about any track we have taken it to..

Yea David I think that pass at the lake was 106MPH and yea about 5-6 sec. Just a guess no clock. And I only bring up that I was driving not David because that is the 1st time I ran "Livewire" Also the fastest I have ever drove a boat. Remember I have that slow TX-19  jump.gif

I'll be happy if I can hit 60 with either of my boats.  Hell I will be happy to get them on the water this year.
Come on Chris , It would be nice to have you join us this year ..

Be leave it when I see it!! think.gif
The Carlson is probably going to get done this year the CJ still has a long way to go.

Speaking of TX19, how is your boat coming Ray? :smile21:

I already had Mike (Central Texas Jets) reset the intake. Looks real nice. Motor is on engine stand waiting me to tear it down. Motor is not hurt but it has been 6 years and I have 2 cyl that are holding only 50% so it's about time for a face lift. I am just gonna ball hone cly. and go back with new rings. Get the machine shop to do a head job and check everything. then put her back together. That's probably all I am going to do this winter. I have been a lazy pus lately. I did have surgery on my foot but it's only been about 3 weeks and I am starting back to walking and back to work this past Tue. So like I said mostly been really lazy lately. We (David) have 2 TX-19 to build or rebuild. One is a brand new hull we are going to build up and probably sell ( unless I but it then sell mine ) and a 79 Youngblood that is fairly light that we are working on for David's daughter ( Veronica) So I need to get off my ass. Just cold, wet, and old. LOL

Well Knotty Racing is moving Lucky Draw to QE because of the new mota.  Yep there is a ton of them in the class and they all better bring their A game cause we are coming.  :smile30:

How much did you have to turn up to go from PE to QE?

We are not turning it up we are tuning it down.  jump.gif

Since you're making extra horsepower that you don't need, can I borrow some?
I'm trying to keep up with these damn jets.
  :smile17:
Borrowing power? Good try Jim, maybe somebody will help you out. lol  clap.gif

I agree Jim . Can I borrow some extra power also from some one .. I just want to go to the lake and river and have fun again .. I just going to put me a pump gas friendly engine in my flat and have fun ..
Oh why don't you play it down some more for Billy. lol  Like you need to borrow power?!?!?  whatever.gif

And these comments coming from some of the highest powered flats trolling the lakes and rivers.......  think.gif crazy.gif

If we don't ask, it won't happen.
                        Might not any way.

AND, have you been paying attention to the crazy horsepower numbers some these jet guys a coming up with.
Based on some of their numbers, I need an extra paddle.

Nope the only way I could have that kind of horspower was if I could run a nitrous fogger system and 2 400hp plate kits and all that really added up as advertised.  jump.gif

Makes it sound like we're ganging up on Horsepower junkie.
Thats Definitely not my intention, I don't even know how much horsepower he has available.
I don't even know how much I have.

I'm not to sure about all the v drive guys?? I'm mean first of all they try to make a good looking cheby motor look like a ford??? By setting it in backwards??? 😳 then they have a big ass piano hinge all the way across the back of the boat that looks like they cut a walk in cooler in half and screwed it to the back of the boat?? And then they can't even trim their prop?? Even the outboard guys can trim their prop??? 😜😜

Like I said, if I want to watch a jet boat run I would go flush my toilet. Same concept.

Not all V-Drive engines are sitting in the boat backward !! think.gif  Who needs to trim their props , we adjust the attitude of the whole boat for the best performance all the way around .. Plus we have extra foot pedals in our to make all the other boaters go , what are those for ??  Carry On !!

I do not have a hinge, I only have two small ears on my prop to go really fast.  :smile16:
