Don't be hatin Marines.
There is a squad of Marines assigned to every Navel Vessel that leaves port.

Sheep would be to obivious.

21 years active duty Navy right here!!! We always had a MarDet (Marine Detachment) on each aircraft carrier deployment.

OK , here are a few pics of the progress so far.

This is what all the tiny pin holes looked like around the edges of the hull where the boat was capped .

Front area filled and sanded smooth , ready for more primer

Back corner filled and sanded , ready for more primer

Filling areas on the transom , still needs to be sanded down

I am not sure why I am even bothering with getting the entire boat smoothed out , most people will only see the back of the boat once I get the LS tuned in

After I get all the bad areas filled and smoothed out I will prime the entire boat again , then guide coat , then block sand to make sure I got it all smooth . Once I know the boat is smooth I will put on one more coat of primer and let it all cure while I get the motor and pump mounted and get it all figured out . Then block one last time and paint .

Not to Jack your thread, but my bow eye was so wallowed out from my boat being towed to shore, it would harldy keep the boat on the trailer. :smile26:

But I did have a period of bad luck with motors last summer.  Hopefully that will change. (Hint Hint Patch) :smile16:
