You guys can make fun of him all you want.  I bet there are several of you on here that would smoke a pole for the kind of money that can be made in color.  My wife is a hair dresser so even though I am immune the temptation of the pole I can still roll in the money.  bling.gif

( I am in no way implying that spd500 is a Doke Stoker.  I am sure that with his chosen career path, you guys are not the first to accuse him of it.  I'm sure he is used to it by now.  LOL.)

There is really good money in doing hair color , you guys will let your wives spend insane amounts of money on thier hair as long as they let you play with your toys  crazy.gif On a really good day we will do about $500-$600 in color , EACH  :smile13: For us that means we make about $1500 with both Bonnie and I working and having a few girls making commission . Even slow days are pretty decent and pay more than a regular job  :smile30:

I actually went to school for that in '84. Was in a retirement town and didn't make any money doing it. I still do my wife's colors and highlights now rather than her shelling out $75 to get it done. A guy who was a freind of the family got me into doing it. He was loaded after 30 something years in the biz. He was going to set me up with a shop but unfortunately passed away before it all ever happened and I ended up a soldier, which worked out great also.

I can see where he's coming from. Guys pay what, $12 for a cut? A woman will easily shell out 5 times that for an hour in the chair getting whatever done. But usually they don't wan't some dude dooling over their tits while he's doing the work. Which is why I FAILED MISERABLY at that job.. LOL

Actually the women that come to me love to have a man tell them how great they look. And you are right , women spend alot more on thier hair than men do . Most of the women I do spend at least $115 , and come in every 4-6 weeks  :smile13: :smile13:

Hopefully. My manifolds are 36lbs a piece without the risers.
