crazy.gif crazy.gif I have the same 325 cubes , and a lighter boat . What makes you think yours will be faster than mine ?

1. A 76mm LM7 EFI throttle body will flow 920 cfm without boost, almost double that with 8psi of boost.

2. My boat's a Glastron Carlson, the fastest cruiser hull ever built.

think.gif Really , the fastest cruiser ever built ? LOL

Take it from the guys here that saw the video. That boat was crazy fast. You could here him hit the nitrous on the vid. I was a competition on a river up in Canada. There were a lot of boats there and that was the quick run of the day. The video was pulled for copyright issues. And yes, it was a Glastron Carlson CV-18, no mods to the hull. It was not a 1/4 mile competition, it was all out top speed runs.

a Scream and Fly thread on it.

James is right.  That was a pretty well documented deal.  This was before the Internet was even a glimmer in Al Gore's mind.

More info over at PB.

The Glastron Carlson you see in the video is indeed a stock boat. The owner/driver is Andre Robitaille of Quebec, Canada -- once upon a time a large Glastron and Glastron Carlson distributor (Robitaille Marine, Inc.). It's powered by a small block Chevy V-8 on nitrous, and get this....the drive unit is a shortened and slightly modified MerCruiser Alpha Drive!

For those that don't know twocents is Bob Brown.  He is highly respected and has been reporting and writing for the performance boat industry for a long time.

I guess time will tell , but I really dont think that just because someone made a Glastron fast it don't make it the fastest hull . I have seen 1 ton diesel dually trucks that run 9s in the quarter mile , but it don't mean that the diesel is the fastest truck . It just means that someone spent way too much money on making a diesel fast . If you spend enough money on it , then the Glastron will for sure be fast .

Copyrighted from the company sponsoring the event?

Probably, I've had my vids blocked for the audio in the past, but the video would still play. It's an easy process to dispute it though.

Anyway, just stirring the pot man, all in good fun. I didn't know your boat was a Kona.

If you google it there are plenty instances documenting that it is an issue with audio licensing.

pretty snappy comeback there james clap.gif

Just messing with you Randall. We all know that more power + more speed = more wrench time, especially in a v-drive. The price you pay to be fast, right?
