If you plan on racing it in the SDBA you will need a drive shaft cover.  I know they stopped me from running one time because of it.

I thought they stopped you because of the bailing wire and the duct tape! :smile26: :smile28:

You have to have one for River Racer??  No, Come On.  Somebody check the rules, I plan on running the 126 MPH River racer class,  HA HA.

This is only if you have a two piece balancer ( like a stock balancers ) , if you have a SFI approved balancer you do not need the shield .

More progress: This time with my Craftman buffer, I'll probably upgrade to a Professional grade buffer later.  This one tends to get a little warm, you have to buff awhile then go do something else, while it cools
This is one rail, the rear motor plate, and the drive shaft cover.  Last picture is the finished product waiting for a good coat of Mothers to bring out the shine.

I do know the starter works. The spark chaser will be here Saturday to hook up the wires I cut, I'm not allowed to touch his work.  The motor will come out this winter, so I can flip the hull, and repair the trailer.

Jim, you got her finished just in time to bring it to Lavon tomorrow for our Season Opener!!!!!!!!!!
