I hope so, I feeling just short of major overhaul! Not really, it's been fun to work on and I can't wait to hit the water with it! jump.gifCrusader said:Patchman said:Update on the Whacker! Once you change out the impeller and thermostat, you should be fine.

Crusader said:Forgot to tell you one more thing to do....go ahead and change the lower unit oil too. I always do this when I buy an OB motor....just to make sure the propeller shaft seals are still good. If the oil you drain is milky, you'll need to replace the propeller shaft seals. Replacing them is much cheaper than another lower unit.
Patchman said:I already have the new oil. It was not milky at all for what it is worth. :smile16:

Patchman said:Well worked till 12:45 last nite on it, and found out water pump is brand new! Even had to extract a broken bolt, chasing something that wasn't even a problem. But now I know it is good. Just need thermostats, and Whacker Flat is ready! :smile16:
