I was on fire lastnite! Tonight will hopefully be hooking up the power trim. Then off to carb swap and see if it will fire! :smile30:

Fired up the motor yesterday, and it seems to run welll! I think I have the trim figured out, now i'm down too steering and throttle linkage! It has been a weekend full of  working on fishing boats! :smile17: :smile17: :smile17:

The steering shaft is a little rusty. So I'm cleaning it up now! But it fired right up! I think this one will work out for awhile! :smile30:

I need to drop the lower end and replace the impeller! Not going to take any chances on this one! Probably go drop it in Conroe for a test run first.

I got the steering tube cleaned up so the cable would work last nite! This missing fishing trips because of a broke boat suck!  :smile15:

Not yet man! Had one busy weekend, no time for boat projects. But this week will hopefully be another story! :smile17:

Well I got the trim plumbed and wired. Now it's time for lower unit check up. And naturally we are starting off with broke bolts! :smile15:

There are 6 or 7 bolts that hold the two halves of the lower unit together. It looks like at least three of them are broke! I did notice that there are some bolts where the lower whole lower unit bolts up to the motor, mite be able to separate them there if I have no luck with the extraction. I'll know soon.  think.gif

Ugh... bad thing working with old aluminum...  :tongue: Good luck & may the force be with you on that deal. Keep my fingers crossed for ya as well. :grin:
