most of you guys dont remember this but we had a couple get togethers at lake texanna, which is near edna/ganado texas, which is about 40 miles north of coleto creek up hwy 59, devilman is close to there as is atxwrangler, maybe we could have something there instead. the place we were at last time is a privately owned campground, i can't remember the name of the place. but it was a good time, and i dont remember texanna having hydrilla, but then again it has been awhile. also there is a place on the lavaca river just south of the dam where a couple guys used to run, there is always other options. it does suck though, i always liked cruising back to the sandbar at coleto, too bad we dont know someone who lives on coleto and has their own ramp we could go around the park atleast for a day trip.

That was Brackenridge campground. And best I can remember they never had a problem with hydrilla. Not even sure it existed there. There were some floating lily pad things sometimes, but they were just scattered around. If you can catch it on decent day, the lake will be like glass & won't have hardly any traffic on it. And ya, theres always the river. haven't been to either place in awhile though.

The campground was real cool, and the water was like glass the following morning. Unfortunately we didn't have a single boat. Not even Sea Sprite! :smile18:
