Over transom headers restrictions Coleto Creek

Unless some folks go to one of those meetings & bring it up or someone goes out there, probably won't hear anything over the fall/winter months. And if the GBRA or Coleto Creek park people are trying to implement something, next spring may be too late to say anything. I would try and go along if some peeps were planning to attend one of those meetings. As Michael said, seems more people that show up the better.

There ruling does not even make sense.  Through transom exhaust is out of the water when on plane.  This is just a matter of a bunch of fisherman bending their ear and gettin their way.

My thoughts exactly. I guess the exhaust has to go through the propellor hub now.

I guess there will not be a Hydro-fest this coming year, or a least not there.  :smile18:

The most significant change has to do with the prohibition of certain types of motor craft.  “Effective immediately, the use of boats with above-water exhaust has been prohibited on Coleto Creek Reservoir,” Wilfred Korth, chief ranger at GBRA’s Coleto Creek Park, said.

Exactly. Figured we should have followed this better. That point could have been brought up as that applys to ski/wakeboard boats as well. They gonna turn all them folks away too? I seriously doubt it.

Sure hate that this has happened... I don't care so much about Colet itself, but the fact that this kinda shit has a way of spreading.

Exactly! The environmentalist and wan a bees will always win, because they are the only ones who show up for the ruling parties. We lost all kinds of off-road places because of the same reasons. You have to be very pro active to fight these bastards! :smile15:

Well,,,,,,,what did some of you expect? im not gonna point fingers and have been to several meets where more than a dozen or so did not use their mufflers nor water or ran zoomies!

Those people did not follow the rules set out by the TPW ,,,and this was the result. Deal with it.

Good point! Guess someone should show up at the same time a wakeboard boat is about to launch and have their T/T jet with them just to see what happens.
