Boy the natives are restless this morning.  Cliff sweeping in with an edit and didn't even welcome the new guy.  Come on Cliff.  Your better than that.  Go tinkle on his Ford leg like a new puppy.  :smile28:

Hammer 1, Cliff (Crusader) is our resident "Biggest Ford Fan" if you haven't figured it out.  He is also the first to spring on the Gm VS. Ford stuff usually.  You need to make it out to Lavon one Sunday this summer.  We have a great group over here too.

Your going to need about 14' of water first

Lol. That wasn't me who Mod'd SPD's post......

Oh, by the way Hammer, welcome aboard to THB and I do have to say that there's a select few if us in this site who are priveleged enough ti run Blue Oval powered sleds. As time moves on, you'll notice that the Ford powered Crusader pulls many a GM to the ramp.....just how it is. ;)

Ill bet the 13' Whaler pulled in it's share of GM powered boats too!

Thanks for all the replys. Can see the Ford / GM thing is going strong here. I like good equipment , Have a 97 power stroke thats been a great truck & 06 Duramax that ges the job done. I am looking forward to pulling this boat with a 73 Bronco. I shouldnt have any trouble to lakes close by.

I don't get to play the Ford vs Chevy too much cause I have both now. I got an F250 and GMC shortwide for tow rigs also. They're all good if they're set up right.

BTW, I do believe Cliff towed a Ford to the ramp at Tawakoni.

You say that now , but I see twin bowties in your future  :smile30:

We wont count the broken Ford against you , and the truck might as well be an International , they built the only decent part of it . :smile16:

Some might also say it's a GM built 351 Windsor. The first boat I ever towed with my Glastron was a Chevy Vortec powered Supra wakeboat. It's for sale now, the Supra is.. Or at least it was. It's not on CL any longer. I tried to convince the guy to get a jet but his wife won't have it!

Figures... He's a NAVY guy!! LOL

Fast? Or Quick? Do you know the difference? My little 193 cid naturally aspirated 6 cylinder runs 3 digits... 4 if you count the place after the decimal, and gets about 6 miles to the gallon.
Whats your definition? :smile17:

COOL Boat.......welcome to the madness. I have a very reliable FORD as well but love them all. If I ever go new again I may go over to the dark side (Chevy) just because every mothers brother has a part to fit one somewhere in their house or trunk of their car.

He would never be able to pay his bills.  He wouldn't need to worry about food because he would have plenty of salad from the tomato and lettuce being thrown on stage.

I am not sure what kind of big block your talking about.  But if you are talking BBC, you're not hanging out in the right places.  The next question would be, does it do it in a 1000 feet and not 1/2 mile.  Again, if not, your in the wrong places.

1000 ft would be quick... not necessarily fast though... but I don't know what you have...don't care...  this I do know... to each his own, some enjoy running from one side of the boat ramp to the other, others like to venture out in the lake...  doesn't matter what you got there is always someone around the corner that is going to be faster or quicker or both... that said, you have to admit there are few mud sucker's in the 3 digit club..... most seem to be impressed they made it to 70... and how much HP did that take? ...
Please splain to me why it takes 700-800 hp to push one of those squirt quns to a decent number? And just what is that decent number?
Answer: it depends, reread the above again.

Enjoy your boat! :smile30:
