X2.... I've holeshotted Cpt Hazelwood for a couple hundred yards, then he was gone.....

Plus, while a lot of jet and V-drives are looking for flat water to run on, George crossed the lake and came back at 90+ the whole way through waist high chop. That's a FAST boat.

Welcome aboard!
If you want to set them up to run fast.... check out... http://www.mercuryracing.com/outboards/optimax300xs.php

Please define fast.

It has a Black cowl on it that means 100+ not too many big blocks run that kind's speed, just say'n.  I have one of both so I can testify. :smile16:

I am not sure what kind of big block your talking about.  But if you are talking BBC, you're not hanging out in the right places.  The next question would be, does it do it in a 1000 feet and not 1/2 mile.  Again, if not, your in the wrong places.
1000 ft would be quick... not necessarily fast though... but I don't know what you have...don't care...  this I do know... to each his own, some enjoy running from one side of the boat ramp to the other, others like to venture out in the lake...  doesn't matter what you got there is always someone around the corner that is going to be faster or quicker or both... that said, you have to admit there are few mud sucker's in the 3 digit club..... most seem to be impressed they made it to 70... and how much HP did that take? ...
Please splain to me why it takes 700-800 hp to push one of those squirt quns to a decent number? And just what is that decent number?
Answer: it depends, reread the above again.

Enjoy your boat! :smile30:

I couldn't agree more.  Mine does the numbers along with several of my friends, but you're right, there will always be faster ones out there.
