One or two more good storms and Hubbard is topped of. Probably two or three and Lavon is there also.

Any word if they're gonna put the Collin Park marina back where it belongs? When can we go get our yearly passes for Collin and where do we get a Corps pass from?

We talked to him about the Marina at the boat show.  He said they were not going to move it back until the lake came up at least a couple more feet.

So did I miss something? Why do we need a corps pass

With a Corps pass you can get into any Corps lake with a boat ramp for free. Most of the lake in TX are Corps lakes. If you're going to travel around the state it's a good thing to have. I use East Fork the most on Lavon, a Corps pass and I only pay once for the entire year. I think Avalon park is a Corps park also and we used that one a few times last year.

Exactly.  An annual pass is $30.  I believe it is at good at any Corp park in the nation not just the southwest territory.  Joe Pool is also a Corp lake as is Plowman's creek.  It costs $3 to launch at Easy Fork without a corp pass.  If you launch more than 10 times there the pass is paid for.

The passes are good at ALL Army Corps lake in the USA.....I use mine for Lake Lanier in Georgia all the time.

Not only does the pass cover the launch fee, it also covers all persons that are in the truck......if it's a park that charges per person too.

For Wed night at Collin, if you launch at East Fork your pass has you covered. Although it's nice to be in the parking lot at Collin. I think I'll get their pass this year too. It's like $100, right? I pay $6 for me, the truck and the boat when I go alone. More if Maria and Edward are with me.

Ken,

It looks like Pebble beach boat ramp will be opened in April!! Here's the reply I received this afternoon.

Mr. Shaw,

The Pebble Beach boat ramp will be reopened for the recreation season,
starting on 1 April.  The road repair in the park is complete, and we are
currently working on brush removal and chipping, fence and gate repair, and a
few other safety repairs and maintenance projects.

Pebble Beach is typically open during the recreation season (1 April-30
September) and is closed during the rest of the year.  If at any point while
the park is open, the water levels become too low or too high to use the
beach or boat ramp, we typically close the park for safety reasons.  Ideally,
when the water levels drop or rise back to a usable level, we allow two weeks
for the road and boat ramp base materials to finish expanding or settling
prior to opening it back up to the public
.

One more question sir. When will the Pebble Beach boat ramp re-open? Seems
like it's been closed due to roadwork for more than 1 1/2 years now...

Thank you.

Cliff Shaw

Glad to hear Pebble Beach ramp will be open.  We plan on hitting several places this summer including Wright Patman, Texoma, Eufaula, Murray, Broken Bow, Hubbard, Joe Pool, Tawakoni and maybe Summerville.  I like Pebble beach but I also like hitting some of the other beaches occasionally as well.
