I don't know if we'll be doing much boating at all this weekend with winds forecast above 20mph on both Saturday and Sunday. Monday might be our best day as it's only supposed to be blowing 15mph. I'm not sure what we are going to do at this point.

well if the eliminator was still running good i was thinking of bringing the wife & daughter out sunday afternoon for a few hours

What do you mean 'if"?

well you know how my luck is, it's at 77 mph rtight now, i'm installing a dominator B impy and locking out my dizzy, so with my luck it'll knock it down to 60 mph instead of raising it to 80+..........lol

Was your motor running good or still need some tunning? I would have thought you would be right in the same ball park as me. What RPM and what impy are you running now?

:smile19: don't think my boat will see the water this weekend. there is to much junk float around in the water up here.  think.gif  the weather has chucked a curve ball for boating this holiday for sure. even the river is to high to float down.  :smile25:

Cool, also sounds like a little boat tuning maybe in order also.. i was running 86 in my heavy Sanger at 5200 with an AT ss A last year.
I turned it to a BC and now spinning it 6K no GPS with the new set up but guessing (i know seat of tha pants aint worth squat) I am in the 92 range.

nope not really 542HP just it is a 514 Ford...

mines a ford 520cid and was dyno'd at 740 hp but i have done a few upgrades to it and should be somewhere around 765 & 800 hp now, but its been fighting me every since i've installed it, it's 11:5.1 full roller motor, heads are setup to flow 2000 cfm, dual holley 950hp carbs, alumn connecting rods and runs off avgas...........

10.5:1 pump gas crappy pro-comp aluminum heads, two QFT 850's full hydraulic roller
4340 forged crank Hbeam rods. Dyoned at 542HP. My motor runs well but my pump is off the chain.. Kdubb built it for me and it has been tits up ever since.. lot of folks think i am full of crap when I tell them the numbers it runs with the HP i have.. but no need to BS it is what it is. Just a good fun solid heavy as$ true lake boat. Kdubb has also helped me with the set up and for what it is i think it runs a ok (for now) need to finish off the NOS setup.

MPD is the one who setup my pump, and after i bought it i put a dominator bowl and a drrop on it, i have the clearance on the shouldered wear ring at .020, mine motor is all studded and gurdled on the bottom end, it has all the good stuff in it but i'm still working out the bugs, hopefully this weekend i'll get a few more worked out of it, it keeps getting better and better little by little
