Ya but I know how you are... kinda like polishing hardware on a v-drive that has a hole in the front.

You said that outer skin was vinyl, it sounds similar to linoleum or formica on a counter top. Vinyl skin adhered to a plywood backing I guess?

here are a few pics to show my starting point,  this is pics of taking the utilities doors of the side and a pic of the bottom skin being pulled back,  leaving this thing sitting outside and it raining two to three days out a the week this past year,  has really got it wet under the skin
Well that aint real bad! least you still got some wood to look at! Looks like your getting an early start!  The few i have done there was nothing but the tin,,you had to use your imagination on the rebuild!
The hardest and time consuming part is the tear down and clean up before you start going back with new wood!

The picture is miss leading,  it's bad,  and the skin on this one is vinyl

And patch I'm a carpenter and build for a living,  this shouldn't be to difficult,  I just got to take my time,  which will make it time consuming,  like Oldbuck40 says getting it apart and cleaned up is most of the battle
The hot water heater area is a mofo!!! The last one we bought there was a foot of the floor rotted out from the outside wall inwards.. Problem we had was clearance between the heater tank and the floor and trying to replace the floor and also give it more support. You cant put jack chit inside on the floor! it all has to go outside and under the black skirt they staple on the bottom of the floor ,,lotsa thought has to go in to this sorta southern engineering lol

I wonder if a regular water heater would be easier to work around than those fancy hot water heaters ya'll been messin with.

I don't see an issue with the hot water dealio,  I'm just gonna pull the hot water heater out, to simple not,  then it's basically wide open,  just stop there last night.

Gonna save this for a later quote!

Nah just all depends on how much floor you have to replace if any,,mine was from the outer edge inward to the trailer frame,we just split the difference on top of the frame rail and screwed it down. other deal we ran into was seems them screwballs use an odd thickness on their plywood floors and NO ONE seemed to have it,,so we had to rig it lol,,but hell it works so thats the main deal!

Oh and the other main pain in the arse was the floor had rotted out from under the outer edge supports! those little triangle deals from the frame to the outer wall!!! The wall had sunk down bout an 5/8th of an inch making it tricky jacking up the wall to get the new plywood on the floor!

Oh it can be an adventure! Post up more progress pics as you get em!
