Anyone who has been in a vdrive will know the answer to this...
Racing in reverse, who will win the Jet or the vdrive?
:smile28:

I think the ambassador would win.  :smile30:

I burn 10 gallons in an hour. Lol
unfortunatly with my old hydro with the top hat on it would burn that up in about 10 min.  :smile19:

I would think that has more to do with the type of hull... so apples to apples no idea... maybe a vdrive tunnel vs a jet tunnel the vdrive might have a slight advantage since it could "ride on the prop" vs having to keep the keel of the boat hooked up to keep the pump going....
anyone...?

Well, a jet does have this thing called the SUCTION PIECE right there at the back. So a tunnel.... yeah, the pump has to stay hooked keeping the boat deeper in the water.

Do this with a prop... There was one of these boats on CL recently. I belive they run a lot of small block motors in an aluminum hull.

Mike's jet is exceptional.  Not really the average jet...  lol

Totally bad ass!!!!

On another note, put that engine in a vdrive hydro and see what happens...

It really a personal choice is all it is .. I have alway like V-Drives , and yes jet do have some advantages in running in low water and places that have hidden obstacles under water ..
I did have one jet boat , it was fun , but dam that thing sure sucked the fuel down on a weekend ..
But we all know who is the fastest in good water .. LOL,...

Just having some fun with you guys this morning . Don't  take it serious ..

I still like the idea that to the untrained eye a V-dive boat with a big Chevy looks like it's sporting a Ford because the dizzy is on the wrong end. LOL

Yeah , that was pisses me off when some one tell me I have a Ford in my boat ..
Pretty bad when they can't tell the difference in the two engines ..
