If the FORD doesn't blow up, it sounds like a pretty quick combination.
It could even be a threat to some of us V-Drive guys with smaller motors.

I guess over time things change. I only wish somethings would never change. This site is old, 10 years old. Most of us on here have made good friends from this site. We have lost family members, pets, spouses, health, jobs, and our hobby. Look around how lakes no longer want us on their lakes. I know i am not on here as much due to my health, but that doesn't mean I still don't have memories of the people and good times from this site. This site was built at no charge to me. Yes it needs updated but I don't know how. Yes I need more mods and admins , who do their best to keep peace on here without any pay or respect. I have the site paid up until Jan 17. I guess time will tell if it will continue. It is hard for me to let go of the site because there is a wealth of knowledge and people to help with your boating needs. I hate to ask people to be mods for they are always being called out for the payless job they do. I use the facebook page which i did not start by the way. I like the use of my smart phone to info on what is going on in the boating world. I am open for ideas even someone who is computer savy to update this site. Ideas for people to step up and be mods. call me 817-713-015 or Email Bdavis53m@aol.com if you have ideas on how to continue on This site. Times have been tough on me the last few years. I just try to hang on from day to day. My life is a walker, electric chair or learning to use this new leg. It sure not as easy as yo see on Tv. I guess after 60 years to 2 legs and now only 1 good and 1 artificial things do change much like this site has.

That things going to look killer out in the sun!! Can't wait to see it with the flames!! Not sure how in the hell you painted it and everything in your shop is not green?? Lol I always wind up with as much paint in my shop as I do on what I'm painting....

Bill and others. I don't want to high jack the the thread but I thought this was appropriate, given the title "I remember a time"I was one of the first members to Texas Hot Boats and it was through Bill. I had just recently from California via Oregon (long story) and I sought out places to run my boat and meet like people and there was Bill. We have enjoyed many great times together as with many others. One of the most memorable was working with Billy to help Bill get his boat back together and get it in the water. I don't like when things change. Especially watching my friend Bill go through what he has had to endure over the last 4-5 years. I think this thread should be allowed to continue and for all to make comments on what some of your memorable events, experiences, and memories are that you have have related to boats and Texas Hot Boats. Moderators. Please feel free to move this to an appropriate spot for all to read and continue the thought and thread.Thank you

Thanks for the update Bill. I and some other members are brainstorming here and there on how to keep the site active. We appreciate all you have done, and as far as we are concerned, we will keep it going as long as we can. It's just one of many places where boat people can share their thoughts and experiences. It's introduced us to many hopefully life long friends! So we will do what is necessary to keep it going. I hope you get to feeling better with everything you have going on. The last couple of years have been very hectic for allot of members here! Let's stick together guys, and hopefully this year will turn things around for some folks! Also thanks for your post as well Neil! It's nice to hear from long lasting members and see people sticking with the boating habit! clap.gif

I am probably the biggest laughing stock on this site but I still love it.  I love the camaraderie, the joking around, the parties.  I have only ever been to two events and both without a boat.  One day I will bring a boat.  I know many here don't think that will ever happen.  I just wanted to say though that I consider many on here friends and would gladly help out any of them in need whenever needed.  I don't get on Facebook often.  My phone doesn't seem to like all the newer changes but then again it doesn't like to get on here either.  I get on here cause I can from work and since I sit at a desk most of the day I can browse when I have time.  I can't do facebook from work it's the one site they block.  When I get home I am too busy to sit on a computer.  I sometimes get a chance once or twice a month to catch of on the latest stuff on facebook.  Usually see what's up with my family and friends not near me.
I agree with some of Matt's points and understand the Lavon secrets groups reasonings for that as well.  I think what Matt has suggested would work fine for most to make sure to post up like what used to happen here ever week the lavon meetings.  It used to be that the wednesday night eat outs were discussed here so if someone else from out of town might happen to be there they could also go.  I have been travelling a lot lately and was actually up in Dallas on the 13th of March but didn't know if there was a get together on Friday anymore.  Anyways this is just my point and opinion.  I am glad this site is here and will do what I can to help keep it around.
