I haven't smoked any electric motors on rc cars! Now 3 phase air compressor motors I'm the man! I can smoke the crap out of those things! :shocked:

Ok, tried to run it today...carb isn't holding a tune...I guess dipping the whole thing in carb cleaner wasn't that great of an idea... crazy.gif
Now I'm at a crossroads....keep patching the old motor and hope it'll run, or buy a nib motor, and go from there...Now I have to buy electronics and a motor....may just be better off buying a new rtf plane.... :smile15:

Is the prop balanced?  Are you seeing air bubbles in the fuel line to the carb?  Is the fuel tank surrounded with foam?

after messing with it for over 2 hours, I'm fairly happy with the tune. Pulls hard and idles,....well...ok. won't hold a low rpm idle for more than 30 seconds or so..it'll hold a fast idle forever...just moves the plane....gonna get some new glow plugs and airplane fuel Friday.
