The rain's in Arlington now. Watching channel 8.2 they're saying a "multi inch" rain event before it's gone on Monday. Slow moving east with a steady stream of moisture coming up from the gulf. What is it, like every three inches of rain puts a foot of run off into the lakes??

I won't be too broken hearted if it rains, but there's no Cowboys game tomorrow so I hope it holds off till late in the day.

How are you getting the sub channels?  The only way I was ever able to get them was through an antenna.  I'd love to get them through fios.

I wonder if that 3" statistic will hold up right now.  I bet the run off rate is much lower coming out of the drought.  I still have big cracks in my back yard.  I would think those have to fill up before the run off gets back to average.

Time Warner lets them pass through I guess. All the dot ones are in HD too, like 4.1, 5.1, 8.1, 11.1 etc. MOST of the OTA stuff stuff works on cable. I say most cause I know the sub channels on 63 don't. One of Edwards favorite channels used to be 63.2, Qubo

When OTA first went digital we ditched the cable and went with it for a year. A lot of the sub channels are in HD also OTA. Maria wants to go back to the antenna. We might do it since baseball is about over and it doesn't look like basketball is going to happen this year. The downside is no ESPN or Speed, not that I watch them that much anyway.

I had an antenna hooked up when we had DirecTV.  That is how I got the sub channels.  I had to switch between the HDMI input and the tuner on the TV to get the sub channels.  When we made the move to fios I never hooked the antenna back up.  I  miss the sub channels.  THe antenna is still mounted in the attic.  I guess I need to hook it back up.

This talks about getting the subs with Fios. Don't know if the info is still current or not.

All you should need a TV with a NTSC/QAM tuner. Most TV's sold since 2007 now have QAM tuners built in. Pretty much all the LCD's, Plasma's, and DLP's have it now. Also keep in mind the subs change a lot. The last time I rescanned I got a few more channels. I'm probably due to rescan agian.

All my TV's get them through the tuner on the TV.  I was hoping you were getting them through a Fios STB.

I have a Clearstream 2 antenna on the roof we used to use. I need to hook it back up to the bar. We got a new HD projector a few weeks ago. I want to see the OTA picture on that, Blurays look AWESOME! I'll need to go to Fry's and get a stand alone QAM tuner with an HDMI out.

Hubbard was a bust yesterday because of the rain however since we are "Northies" we really dont need a lake to hang out and have fun. We met at the Bowl a Rama and had a blast.
