Just for the record you don't hear the GM guys making excuses for that either.  There is no "My boat is heavier, My pump is loose, I had to go to town and shit sideways.  Etc... Etc... Etc..."  GM guys take their licks and keep on going.  We leave all the excuses for the Ford guys.  LOL.

He should have whipped him good. I beat Kirby in the Glastron about a month ago on a Wednesday night on a holeshot. He beat me on a holeshot on the next run though. That was before the blown motor.

Hate to say it, but this motor I got in my boat now is a POS. Not happy with it at all. There may very well be head damage that a visual inspection couldn't reveal. I think I'd be best to go back to a stock motor with D0VE heads and a stock jet boat cam with the Victor intake and the Demon. We'll see. Gonna tinker with it some more this week.

Just put a 531 stroker kit in your block and put a AA impeller in it then you will see a big difference in that heavy boat.

That pig wouldn't hardly turn 4,000 rpm Sunday. Last week the rockers were rattling like crazy, so I put another 1/4 turn on the rockers. Also connected the vaccuum advance on Saturday. It ran poorly going over to the beach on Sunday. Coming back I added a couple of degrees of timing. It pulled about 4,100 then but was crackin and poppin like crazy.

Also, the oil pressure is dropping to like 15-20 psi after it gets warm. It starts off at 60-65 psi. This will be the last time I use a Melling pump.

This cam is brand new. We'll mess with it some more. Try one quart extra in the pan.

Ya, I probably won't have anything other that the cruiser for the next few years......until the kids are out of college anyway.....they're 8 and 10 years old now.  ;)

The rain's in Arlington now. Watching channel 8.2 they're saying a "multi inch" rain event before it's gone on Monday. Slow moving east with a steady stream of moisture coming up from the gulf. What is it, like every three inches of rain puts a foot of run off into the lakes??

I won't be too broken hearted if it rains, but there's no Cowboys game tomorrow so I hope it holds off till late in the day.
