I think you should put that tunnel ram that's for sale on yours if you're going to cut a hole in the deck. At WOT a jet boat motor never see's under 4,000rpm. You don't need an intake that makes power at 2,000, you need power at 4,000 plus.
My boat with the Stealth from a dead stop.. Nailed the throttle, the tach jumped to 5,000 until the pump overcame cavitation, then dropped to 4,600 till it got up to speed and creeped back up to about 4,900.
Same boat, same carb, same afternoon I think you'll be surprised how big a difference you will see in 0-50 times between low rise, high rise and single plane intakes.

I ask because Chad and I made a short run at the last Lavon meeting and we were dead even out of hole after I put on the Stealth. That was a no nitrous pass with my crappy old worn out pump. He got me on the top end by a couple of MPH. I was temped to hit the spray, but didn't.
