Gauging interest & WIW

Nobody panic.  Just kicking some ideas around this morning.  I may be selling both boats.  With the recent back surgery I am more aware of how hard the Rebel is on my back.  While I think I can use it pain free it is a very rough ride and hard on my back even if it is not painful.  The Rebel will have a newly rebuilt pump done by Josh at JBP with a brand new aluminum "A".  I will get the seats installed in the Ambassador before I sell it.  There are a lot of factors going into this decision.  Just looking for some insight from the local hot boat crowd as to what I can realistically expect to get out of the boats.  I don't want to sit on them for top dollar.  I want to sell them fairly quickly.  I'm not getting out of the jet boat hobby just looking to make a change.

I haven't seen the Titanic, I mean the Ambassador in person. But I know the Rebel sure is nice. That boat ought to bring some decent money. Maybe even consider putting it on EBay, with a decent reserve. I don't know what you have in the boat, but it is clean enough and the media coverage dam sure don't hurt none!

LOL.  Yeah it has kinda made a name for itself.  I need to get a DVD copy of Gearz to include in the sale.  I have way more in it than I could ever get back.  I'm not really worried about that.

My .02 it sucks right now to sell a boat unl r ess you give it away. Buyers market for sure.
Definitely is a buyers market unless you have that gotta have boat that someone wants.  Youhave two unique boats and unless there is a collector or avid enthusiast that wants an old or pontiac powered boat they unfortunately wont bring as much for them.  As far as an actual price tag I have no clue I buy really low end and put a ton of work into them.  The only thing I have ever bought fairly new was my wife's cars.  I get to buy the ones for me that I have to fix to drive them home.

I hear ya.  I know they will not bring much just wondering where to start.  I don't have room for 3 boats and it does not make sense to keep something I can't be comfortable using.

I agree.  I am also considering parting the Rebel.  Seems a shame to do that.

What would be the 3rd boat?

Hate to hear you sellin the rigs, but makin a change is understandeable. Hard for me to say Matt, hangin a price tag on the boats without bein around them or seein them in person.

I'll put it this way... Based on what I have seen of the Rebel, if I saw it for sale somewhere I would expect to see a price of anywhere between 4 to 6 grand. Boat seems to be solid & well kept & lake-ready, with a solid trailer under it. The Pontiac engine may or may not be a selling point, just depending on who you get comin to look at it.

The Ambassador, I'd have to refresh my memory on your build thread on it, but based on what I remember, could be anywhere from 3 to 5 grand possibly?

Just basing my figures on what I see while browsing Craigslist, ebay, etc..
