There's a group of regulars on here that visit all sections, I'm getting much better about it. But I know for a fact that talking with a lot of the guys we go to the lake with, they will take a look into the North section, if nothing new is there they get on with their business. I think there is a larger percentage of peeps that look in the regional sections than anywhere else.

I would like to start out by giving kudos' to cookieman and the staff that run this site. I personally like being on a site that is not "corporately" run with the main goal being monetary gain. I applaud the fact that this site was started by a Texas boating enthusiast for other Texas (and surrounding area) boating enthusiasts just for the love of boating and that cookieman has not lost sight of that. I have been on sites that have been overly moderated and some that have been a free for all. Neither way works well. There has to be some moderating for things to stay on track or else there is nothing but caious and personal agendas. (If all people could moderate themselves we would not need the justice system) LOL!! The bottom line is I think you are doing as good of a job as can be expected and I believe the majority of the members here will agree. You will never please everyone so stay your course and the people that don't approve can always, as you said, go start their own site and run it the way "they see fit" with no hard feelings.

I just moved to where I get satellite only and have to say it smokes for speed but after a week they turn it down to a crawl when you reach the monthly limit. It takes $30 more to get more data but I have unlimited data on my cell and its 4G so I set it up to tether. Man there is no way I will ever go back the tether is the way you get speed multiple computers and you can go anywhere and have high speed connection. I can't believe I didn't do this before.

Talking about traffic slowing down here on THB, confirmed it yesterday. There was well over 100 posts made to the THB Facebook page yesterday and maybe 10 here. They're talking about all kinds of stuff from projects to events like the Winter Nats. I try to direct them over here to the events and projects sections but I think maybe Facebook is just easier to use for some. I personally like the forums better. The posting with pics is much more organized and you can reply with pics, something that can't be done of Facebook. But hey, if that's what they're using then so be it, at least it's still part of THB. I do get notifications on my phone the Facebook page gets a new post to it.
The deleting of posts that call out miss dealings between members surely soured everybody. When people screw people over its not between the two parties its the hole organization that is screwed over and that punk has soured all future dealings as no one is going to deal with the same confidence that existed before. It is times like this the club should be behind Robert and should be applying pressure on the little punk to man up and be responsible. He lied he never did what he said and basically stood a very nice boat that Robert could have sold anywhere for more money. I am going to limit my posting just don't feel they care about the members. A person is I affiliated with an organization to avoid this. After this I fell more secure dealing with EBay and doing everything through PayPal then deal with another deadbeat that Lurks in the shadows of THB. Maybe people don't like what I am saying but it's the truth and this is how it played out. I have bad feelings now about THB events are there going to be the same turn your back on bullshit there too. That's between them we should stay out of it attitude. Every time a boat is stolen else where everybody joins together to find the boat or find resolution.

I'm gonna work on my project boat, then put pics in the projects section, then figure out what event to take it to in the events section, then go talk smack with my friends in the North section, all while Patchman changes his avatar to another cat pic in all sections...
