I Just want to see how many people think its a good idea to have two get to gethers at the 429 marina or just leave it at one? I dont want to ruin a good thing by having two and only a few come to the first one and a few at the next one. I had it so we could ALL get together. That being said if everyone is game Ill sure plan one at the beginning of summer!!!

Two would be cool but I also wonder if that would diminish the spectacular turnout that this one brought out. With that being said, everyone that hosts an event should put them on the calendar. Would hate for two to come up at the same time. Probably once the 2012 SDBA schedule is out everyone can start plugging in their dates. I'll be down with two Bobby, but having one is just as good also.

I know when we were trying to get the spring NTJBC thing going last year it seemed like there were a ton of conflicts with SDBA, NASCAR, Easter, Mothers Day and a host of other THB events and it ended up being too early smack in the middle of spring storm season.

One is fine, but I would be in for 2.  Most of friends I run with would be in for 2 also. There had been discussion about Plowman twice a year also. But never happened due to the problems encountered.

I think i remember Chop telling me he was wanting to have a season opener like this tawakoni event. Like mike was saying on another post it would be cool to have a turn out of 100 boats at lots of the events. Lets keep ours at one and we go to the south's big one, East's big one, Oklahoma's big one, Outlaw's big one, and the WFL's big one. If I missed someone im sorry.

One good one would work fine. No Holidays, after school starts, and no conflict with other  big events.  I noticed we had the lake to just us. No boat traffic...jetskis, tubers or just gawkers make waves for us. I say plan one and make it better. Nothing wrong with small local get togthers, but plan for one major event where you invite all groups to attend. Everything usually goes great until you a bruise on an event. I know you guys dotted the i's and crossed the t's on this event and would plan on a repeat for next year. Best event I have been to in years.  clap.gif

Bobby I know we had a ton of folks tell us we should do two a year.  But I think you said it best keep it at one that way everyone that has an event in the future will have a big turn out.  Like the South okie guys and WFL crew.  I think if we did more than one a year would start to see a fall off on boats attending.  Just my 02.  Let plan it for next year and make it bigger better.  Maybe even a little earlier so we dont have to play games with mother nature.  Maybe Like end of SEPT.

Grand slams are rare but awesome!! Keep once a year, away from other events and hit it out of the ball park AGAIN!!  Tweak where needed.

The cool thing about doing a once a year event is that you have an entire year to plan. Plus it gives us more reasons to get out of our area and see the other lakes we don't normally see. For instance I love Broken Bow and the Outlaw gathering but it is only appealing when I get to see everyone. I like the idea of posting a schedule early and plan on being at a different event every month. That way as a community we all end up traveling but nobody does all the travelling.
