Figure the new mill will work and look better in a Vdrive.. Still keep it low boost and run trips all day and sip fuel while cruising..

Runner bottom yes but I hear 5/8 , 7/8 etc.. I know they refers to the lifting strakes (or so I think so).

Which works better as an all around lake sometimes track sled??

There's a lot of knowledge over in PB's vdrive section.  If you ask it, they will answer.  Only problem is that a few of those guys have attitudes...  Typical left coast I guess.

Ok, I'll throw one out there... Long distance towing, as in what is your limit... how far is too far to tow to go boating somewhere. I realize personal preferences will be different, but still like to hear people's thoughts on it.

If that's what he meant by towing, hell I don't want my boat to get towed period. I try to avoid that as much as possible! :smile20:

Uh, I read it as how far are you willing to tow your boat! think.gif

Pretty much..

I was just wondering what people's thoughts on it were. Longest we have towed so far is about 5 - 5 1/2 hours, but I wouldn't be adverse to towing farther. I have entertained the idea of goin to Del Rio/Amistad for one thing. Thats about 10-12 hours if I recall correctly, been awhile since I been out there.

I have also thought it would be cool to spend a week or so out on Lake Powell on a houseboat. But have my boat along to tow behind the houseboat, so once out on the lake could still go ridin around once the houseboat is parked. Powell's a long way though obviously, lol...
